Robert Mace is a deputy executive administrator at the Texas Water Development Board. He manages the Water Science and Conservation program area for the agency, a group of 66 folks that studies the rivers and aquifers of the state, promotes the conservation of the state’s water, and pursues innovative technologies such as desalination, rainwater collection, and water reuse. He has a B.S. in geophysics and an M.S. in hydrology from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and a Ph.D. in hydrogeology from The University of Texas at Austin. He has over 20 years experience working with water in Texas; has authored or coauthored more than 200 reports, papers, and abstracts; and given more than 200 speeches on water.
